ESCUDO DE PILOÑA

-This is the shield of Piloña.

-The coat of piloña contains these words:

"ADELANTE MI ESCUDERO QUE MI CABALLO PIE HALLA"

-In the shield are depicted two knights with their horses.

-They represent the crossing of the river Piloña by King Pelayo, as he headed toward the battle in 721.

-An armored knight of the nines followed by a squire, both on horseback fording the river Piloña.
